Cheap incoming telephony

over IP does not only enable us to call with cheap rates to other
phones (using VoIP carriers like gafachi),
but also to enable cheap incoming calls for different callers to us. The list of phone numbers all around the world, like in the Contact Us section, can be achieved easily, and when combined with Astrisk server, it integrate very well within the telephone system of the office/home. In order to get local numbers in Austria/Germany, one can register in SIPGATE, and get a number there. In order to get local number in England, one can register to FWD and use Call UK service. A number in USA can be achieved from Stanaphone. My israeli numbers are real phone lines - I just run an Asterisk server with digium X100P hardware, to transfer the calls via the internet to the Asterisk server which is always with me. One can think about my Asterisk network like a very long extension phone cable. I can get calls or make calls using those phone lines from wherever I am.
